This course provides the foundation knowledge and skills required by individuals who are responsible for building SuperSTAR databases using SuperCHANNEL.
Through lectures, demonstration and hands-on labs, participants will learn about the SuperSTAR database structure and how to apply this knowledge when building a high-performing and easy-to-use database.

- Reviewing options (cleansing options, grouping options, summation options)
- Creating hierarchical fields
- Configuring SuperCHANNEL
- Managing XML project files
- Troubleshooting
Each student receives a course manual and a lab book. These can be used as reference guides after the course is completed.
Prerequisite skills
For this course we strongly recommend that participants have:
- attended the SuperCROSS Foundation Course or have significant experience with SuperCROSS
- knowledge of Microsoft Windows basic concepts and functionality, such as dragging and dropping objects and using menus and toolbars
- knowledge of database concepts, such as definitions of tables, fields, primary keys, and foreign keys
- basic SQL skills
