Space-Time Research’s SuperSTAR 6.7 delivers dramatic speed increase plus customer-driven enhancements.
SuperSTAR Release 6.7 has documented speed increases of a factor of 3 for table production processes, and a staggering factor of 10-100 when recoding large data sets with hundreds of thousands of classifications and up.
The release also unveils a richer Web 2.0 user experience to the
interactive performance of ArcGIS Server-based Thematic Mapping Views and introduces a capability for end users to add their own data sets, sourced from user defined URLs, as overlaid map layers.

Highlights
Highlights from the 6.7 release of SuperSTAR include:
- Performance Improvements in Production System and SuperCROSS enabling faster output of tables in batch processing mode, and faster navigation and recoding of very large hierarchies (those with hundreds of thousands of records) in SuperCROSS.
- Web 2.0 Mapping in SuperWEB2 provides faster mapping, which enables creation of custom areas, and integration with a new ArcGIS Map Component.
- RecordVIEW is now available in SuperWEB2. View records contributing to one or more cells in a table allowing deeper analysis.
- Confidentaility. Concealment Support in SuperWEB2 means cell contents can be masked (replaced with a string) to provide extra privacy protection on screen and to exported or downloaded results.
- Newly Supported Operating Systems include Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 and Solaris 10.
- Upgraded Excel 2007 Download support in SuperCROSS.

Upgrading to the Latest Release
In addition to the new features available in Release 6.7, customers running earlier versions of SuperSTAR can take advantage of new features and products available in recent releases by migrating to the latest SuperADMIN version of SuperSTAR. This will enable customers to provide safer access to data by implementing confidentiality and privacy protection, field level security and advanced administration control. It will also allow customers to utilize our newer web based products SuperWEB2 and SuperVIEW.
Upgrade Services offered for SuperSTAR 6.7 include one day on-site to perform a base installation and configuration at no charge. Incremental services for site review, data conversion, and application enhancement are available at reduced prices on request. On-site services do not include travel and accommodation expenses that would be charged at cost to the client organisation as part of the overall Upgrade Service. Commit to the 6.7 upgrade service by 31 March 2010 to receive the base installation and configuration at no charge.
