Over the last few weeks, Sens. Barack Obama and John McCain each have begun to outline their proposed information technology (IT) agendas. While policy differences distinguish the presidential candidates, each agenda reflects a basic understanding that increasing information sharing among government agencies and providing greater transparency to the public are key policy and management priorities for the next administration. To accomplish these goals most effectively, the next administration must make implementation of a robust business intelligence strategy a key priority for its IT and management agendas.
