The Gov 2.0 movement is defined around two key facets — delivering more Public Sector Information to the public and delivering improved online communication both within and across government agencies. This paper looks at some of the issues of making Government spatial data available to the public and the solutions available using Web 2.0 technologies including the ESRI RESTful Web Services technology. GIS Improving Utility Operations and Project Tracking [November 11, 9:30 – 11:00, Ishbillah Room] Utility Solutions Track Presenters: Mr Atif A Karrani, Sharjah Electricity & Water Authority and Mr John Ellenberger Many utility companies around the world focus on conservation as much as they do on production. A big part of any conservation program is education and education is best served by statistics. SEWA has been producing a comprehensive set of statistics in its high quality Statistical Annual Book. The issue with the book, as with any publication, is it physically limits the amount of data that can be provided, the cost of production and distribution, its flexibility and timeliness.
